Just a quick 30-minute drive from Harrisburg, PA, this remarkable property offers visitors a blend of art and nature that transforms with the seasons.
Founded by visionary duo Bill and Jane Allis, The Bower has been inviting visitors to explore a world of native plant gardens, restored meadows, and carefully constructed wetland pools since it’s opening in 2021. This abundant community of wild and introduced native plants create a subtle symphony with a thoughtfully curated collection of large-scale sculptures and land art.
Bill and Jane will share the story behind The Bower’s conception, planning, design, installation, and ongoing management, providing insights into the processes, challenges, and collaborations with their invaluable consulting partners at Larry Weaner Landscape Associates. This is a great opportunity for the landscape professional to gain insight into the process and relationship between consultant and client on large scale multi-year projects with complex goals.
