Tour of Park Drive Gullies and Stream Restoration Project
Saturday, October 5th, 2024
The District of Columbia Department of Energy & Environment recently completed a project on National Park Service property to restore over 1,300 linear feet of two severely eroded gullies so that they are stable, minimize erosion, and improve water quality. Over 700 trees and 600 shrubs were planted in the restored riparian and upland forest areas. The tour will be led by Josh Burch, the DOEE Environmental Protection Specialist who managed the project from concept through construction. Some additional information about the project can be found here: https://doee.dc.gov/
CBLP CEUs are available. Logistical details will be emailed to you prior to your field day.
